Tour plan
A visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau is considered one of the most meaningful and important experiences in Poland. Due to its significance and the high number of visitors from around the world, organizing a visit requires careful planning in advance.
Tickets available directly through the official museum website often sell out well ahead of time. As a local travel agency, we hold advance reservations with licensed museum guides, which allows us to add participants to existing guided groups — sometimes even at short notice.
To provide flexibility, we offer one-way transportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau by regular bus line or train, allowing you to spend as much time at the site as you need. If you prefer a round-trip option, simply select it during the booking process. We will book the transportation according to the bus/train schedule.
Our guided tours are conducted in English, with a maximum of 30 participants per group. If you prefer not to follow the guided tour in English, you are welcome to leave the group at any point in the camp and continue exploring the site independently, reading the informational displays and staying on the grounds for as long as you wish.
Please note that visiting the site typically takes approximately 3.5 hours, including around 2 hours in Auschwitz and 1.5 hours in Birkenau.
After making a reservation, we will confirm your participation within approximately 5-8 days. When we have your entry pass we will send it to you together with a bus or train ticket (2nd class). You need to reach the camp on your own from the bus/train station but in the museum you will be guided by the official museum guide.
If, for any reason, we are unable to secure your place in a guided group, you will receive a full refund within a maximum of 2 days from the cancellation.
Important to know:
- please note there are no audio guides to be downloaded (you receive headsets from the museum on the spot)
- you can stay in Birkenau as much as you want, even until the closure of the museum
- there are restaurants nearby the camp and you can eat before or after the tour
Once you are confirmed for our tour we will send you all the ncessary information and instructions you will need during the tour:
- all the timings
- where to go
- where to meet the guide etc.
Be aware that this package can be booked 3 weeks before your travel date at the latest. It means that you can not book it less than 21 days before your travel date.
However, please write us an e-mail if you want this option at short notice. We will check if we have any tour that could be suitable to join.
Why choose us:
- possibility of visiting the camp even when tickets are sold out
- we handle all booking formalities
- dedicated support before your visit

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
