Discover the profound history of Treblinka, the site of two Nazi camps — the Extermination Camp and the Penal Labour Camp. This budget-friendly tour includes transportation from Warsaw and photo stops at key Holocaust-related sites such as Umschlagplatz and the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. At the Treblinka Memorial, you will explore the grounds independently using an audio guide, allowing time for personal reflection. On site, there is also a new museum building with a permanent exhibition and an educational film that provides additional historical context about the camp.
Info
This reflective day trip from Warsaw takes you to the Treblinka Memorial, one of the most important sites of Holocaust remembrance in Poland.
Located about 90 minutes from Warsaw, Treblinka II was a Nazi German extermination camp operating in 1942–1943 during Operation Reinhard. An estimated 900,000 Jews were murdered here, many deported from the Warsaw Ghetto and other parts of Europe. The camp was created solely for extermination, and its structures were destroyed by the Nazis in an attempt to erase evidence of their crimes.
Today, Treblinka is a quiet and powerful memorial site. In addition to the symbolic stone memorial and markers representing destroyed Jewish communities, visitors can enter the new museum building, which features a permanent exhibition and an educational film explaining the history of the camp and its victims.

Tour plan
This tour starts in Warsaw, with departure from two designated meeting points in the city centre. After meeting the group, you will make photo stops at two key memorial sites that provide important historical context to the Treblinka camp: Umschlagplatz and the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. From there, you will continue by vehicle to Treblinka, where you will spend approximately 2 hours exploring the memorial independently, using an audio guide on your own device. This allows time for quiet reflection at your own pace. After the visit, you will return to Warsaw and be dropped off at the original meeting point.
Please note that all timings are approximate and may vary depending on traffic and logistics. One day before the tour, you will receive a summary with practical information, including meeting points, timings, and important details for the day.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
