3-hour walking tour
Wroclaw city tour starts in the Old Town, splendidly reconstructed after World War II, where you can admire a fine example of Gothic architecture – the Town Hall of Wroclaw with many reliefs and a tower with a distinctive clock. You will have a stroll around the Old Town till you reach the impressive Museum of Wroclaw University. Inside you can discover beautifully decorated baroque interiors, including the famous Leopoldine Hall. The university takes pride in its alumni – 11 Nobel Prize winners studied or worked there. One of them is Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk, who received this prestigious award in 2019. The next point of the tour is an inconspicuous building hosting the famous 114-meter wide Raclawice Panorama, a painting commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Racławice (4 April 1794), one of the Polish victories during the Kosciuszko Insurrection against the Russian army. You will then cross the famous Tumski Bridge and explore the former island – Ostrow Tumski. The most important sight there is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. You will be impressed by Gothic architecture and the largest pipe organ in Poland.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
