Did you know that Wroclaw is called “the City of 100 Bridges”? Sounds like Amsterdam, doesn’t it? The city is intersected by the winding Odra river, with plenty of islands connected with the mainland by countless bridges. Splendidly reconstructed after the II World War, Wroclaw is also called “the Polish Venice” or “Pearl of Lower Silesia”.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special.

Wroclaw 1-Day tour with lunch and entrance fees from Warsaw
This was a great way to fit in a visit to Wroclaw during our stay in Warsaw. It’s about 3.5 hours each way, but the ride (in a Skoda Superb) was quite comfortable, with plenty of legroom in the back seat (I’m 6’ 1” tall). A stop midway both ways made the journey no problem at all.
In Wroclaw our guide Anna was fantastic! She was very personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic . . . her love for her city really showed! The tour lasted from 11am t o 6pm, and included lunch (a very good buffet) and an hour free time at the end in the old town square.
Note that the tour is primarily a walking tour, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Anna, though, was careful to set a comfortable pace, so the walking was never an issue.
Overall we had an outstanding time—highly recommended! ... [read more]
