Tour plan
The tour starts next to the Warsaw Mermaid at the Old Town Market Place. You will move to the Castle Square with Sigismund’s Column. This is where the biggest Christmas tree in Warsaw lits up every winter. Then you will admire the magnificent Royal Castle – a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is covered with magical snow-like illuminations.

At St. Anne’s Church, our guide takes you for a stroll along the Royal Route decorated with Christmas lights. You will move down the Krakowskie Przedmiescie street, where you will pass the Presidential Palace, the University of Warsaw, the Holy Cross Church with Frederick Chopin's heart, the Kopernik monument. On the way you will have a curtain of lights above your heads.
Next, the tour continues through Aleje Jerozolimskie all the way to the Palace of Culture and Science, where this year’s Christmas Market is taking place. Here you can try famous Polish specialties such as smoked highlanders’ cheese oscypek, a variety of sweets and candies, as well as mulled wine or hot tea to warm up. You will also find seasonal souvenirs, handmade decorations, local crafts and unique Christmas gifts.
This is where the tour ends.

Tour plan
If you decide to book the tour by car, you can either be picked up directly from your hotel, or meet the guide in the Old Town—whichever option you prefer.
During the tour, you will see all the places mentioned above: the Old Town, the biggest Christmas tree, and you will drive to the Palace of Culture and Science to visit the Christmas Market.
In addition, the tour includes a short drive to Łazienki Royal Park, where you will stop to see the Chopin Monument and the beautiful Palace on the Isle.
Afterwards, you will continue to Wilanów, where you will visit only the royal gardens. In winter, the palace grounds are transformed into the spectacular Royal Garden of Light—an open-air exhibition featuring hundreds of thousands of lights forming extraordinary shapes. You will be amazed by the over 70-meter-long light tunnel, illuminated pergolas, and glowing avenues decorated with vines. You will also see the newly opened Rose Garden, filled with color-changing light flowers and an illuminated fountain.
On weekends, we invite you to a spectacular three-dimensional show – mappings. It combines light, pictures and sound displayed on the facade of the palace.

Afterward, you will be transferred back to the Old Town or to your hotel.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
