The tour starts at Piwna street in the Old Town (or at your hotel, in case of private tour). First, you will take a walk to the oldest part of the Old Town – the Old Town Market Place. Then, you will move to the Castle Square with Sigismund’s Column. This is where the biggest Christmas tree in Warsaw lits up every winter day around Christmas time. Then you will admire the magnificent Royal Castle – a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is covered with magical snow-like illuminations.
At St. Anne’s Church, our guide takes you for a stroll along the Royal Route decorated with Christmas lights. You will move down the Krakowskie Przedmiescie street, where you will pass the Presidential Palace, the University of Warsaw, the Holy Cross Church, the Kopernik monument. On the way you will have a curtain of lights above your heads. Then, you will reach the next point of the tour – Royal Lazienki Park. There, plenty of colorful lights along Chinese Alley will remind you of dreams from your childhood. The route includes the most important tourist sites: the Palace on the Isle, the New Orangery and the Myslewicki Palace. You will walk among stunning light figures as well.
The last point of the tour is the Wilanow Palace with surrounded Royal Garden of Light – an outdoor, open-air exhibition which contains a dozen diodes making extraordinary shapes. You will be impressed by an over 70-meter-long tunnel, illuminated pergola, avenue planted with vines. Apart of that, you will see the newly opened Rose Garden, full of color-changing light flowers and an illuminated fountain. On weekends we invite you for a spectacular three-dimensional show – mappings. It combines light, pictures and sound displayed on the facade of the palace.
Afterward, you will be transferred back to the Old Town or to your hotel. The tour finishes next to Castle Square where you will stop for a few minutes to visit Christmas Market. Over there, you can try famous Polish specialties like smoked cheese, various meat, and candies. Seasonal souvenirs and handicrafts are also available. The market is made up of nearly 60 wooden chalets richly decorated with chains and lights. In the end, you will taste Polish Christmas specialty – a delicious hot drink. In case of a private tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
