Info
Wooden architecture is a true testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of past generations, blending functionality with timeless beauty. In Southern Poland, these historic wooden churches stand as remarkable examples of traditional building techniques, constructed entirely without nails and adorned with intricate details. Each structure reflects the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of the region, making them a must-see for history and architecture enthusiasts alike.
The program includes visits to four carefully selected wooden churches from the following list: Lipnica Murowana, Binarowa, Sękowa, Owczary, Iwkowa, and Dębno Podhalańskie, depending on their availability on the day of your tour. If any of these churches are inaccessible, you will visit the fascinating Ethnographic Park in Nowy Sącz as an alternative.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
