3-hour walking tour
You will start the city tour at the Main Square - one of the most picturesque market squares in Poland. Its most representative building is the Town Hall, located right in the middle of the square. Make sure to watch the traditional duel of the Town Hall goats – it takes place every day at noon. A visit to Poznan is not complete without seeing this show! Another symbol of Poznan is St. Martin’s croissant. You can buy this delicious treat in local shops and bakeries. Walking in the Old Town you will see the baroque Poznan Fara – one of Poznan's finest treasures.
You will have a stroll until you reach the Imperial Castle. Its Neo-Romanesque style will surely take your breath away. It is a great historical palace just in the middle of the city, which served as the provincial residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II. You will walk a few steps further to Adam Mickiewicz Square. In this historic place, you will observe how different phases of history interweave just in one place. You will see the Monument of the June 56’ Protest Victims, known as the Poznan Crosses (Krzyże Poznańskie).
5-hour walking tour
During a 5-hour walking tour, you visit all the places listed in the 3-hour tour and move on to see the Poznan Cathedral.
You will see the impeccable Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul - one of the oldest churches in Poland. In the cathedral vault, you will see the tombs of the first two Polish sovereigns – Mieszko I and Boleslaw Chrobry.

Poznan city tour by private car
If you need more comfort, you can book the city tour by private car. From point to point you will be transferred by comfortable, air-conditioned car or minibus.

The route can be modified according to your preferences. The starting point can be Bernardynski Square or any other place in the city centre (including your hotel/apartment). You move on foot from one point to another, but public transportation is also available.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special.

What a beautiful place to be at night
A place where every visitor to Poznan should visit and have the remarkable Polish beer. The restaurants are spread all over the perimter of the square. People from round the world and service in English is normal. So you have to be there one night.
