Extensions
We recommend spending the night in Poznan and extending the tour by visiting the famous Kornik castle – one of the most frequently visited castles in Poland, located just 25 kilometers away from the center of Poznan. You will visit the castle with a guide, take a stroll in the adjacent garden and try listening to the poems of Wisława Szymborska, a famous Polish Nobel prize-winning poet born in the city of Kornik.
You can also visit the Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park – an open-air museum with a faithful reconstruction of a village from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
