When to visit Bialowieza?

Spring – this season in the forest is gorgeous. We highly recommend visiting the Bialowieża Park in April or May, when everything blooms, nature comes back in full force and it begins to be warm (around 20C).

Summer – days are long and warm, exploring the Park is very pleasant, though it might be hot (30C).

Autumn – golden Polish Autumn is amazing! You can enjoy the multicolored forests and observe how nature begins to prepare itself for the upcoming winter.

Winter – Despite the low temperatures, winter is a perfect time to explore the forest. Bisons, wild boars and deers spend a lot of time searching for food and there is a good chance that you will meet them in the wild. This trip can be done with cross-country skis (on special request).

Really special day!

This was my favorite day in Poland. Our driver met us right at our hotel, and it was a relaxing drive to the Bialowieza National Park. We first stopped at the reserve to see the animals native to the forest which was really fun and interesting. We were then driven to meet our guide for a hike in the forest. He was fantastic and we learned so much about the plants and animals there. When we returned to the car we were taken to see the czars restau rant and hunting lodge. We then went to a charming restaurant for a delicious lunch. After this we were driven back to Warsaw and let off at our hotel. It was great to get out of the city and be in nature for a day. I highly recommend this tour. ... [read more]

Great Day in the Forest

My wife and I are keen bird watchers and went to visit the Bialowieski National Park. We were picked up from the Airport in Warsaw and first given a brief tour and lunch of the City Park and Old Town. It was beautiful. It was a lovely journey to Bialowieski and a great opportunity to view rural Poland. The accommodation in Bialowieski was great. It was a great experience to visit the National Park. We were able to capture some great wood pecker p hotos. We would have liked to have spent more time in the National Park. If I had the opportunity to visit again I would do two visits at different times. (e.g. morning and evening). I would also spend a little longer and spend more time in one location sitting in silence for that illusive bird sighting. ... [read more]
