Tour plan
The palace was built between 1952 and 1955, during the Soviet occupation of Poland. It was designed by Soviet architect Lev Rudnev and was meant to be a symbol of Soviet power and friendship with Poland. Today, the palace is still a controversial symbol of the country's communist past, but it has also become a beloved part of Warsaw's skyline and cultural heritage.
There are several attractions within the palace that you won't want to miss.
One of the most popular is the observation deck, which offers panoramic views of the city. The deck is located on the 30th floor and is accessible by elevator.
Another must-see attraction is the Museum of Technology, which is located on the lower levels of the palace. Here you can learn about the history of technology and see a variety of exhibits, including old planes, cars, and computers.
If you're interested in the arts, there are several theatres and exhibition halls within the palace where you can see performances and art exhibitions. The largest theater is the Congress Hall, which has hosted many famous performers over the years.
There are several restaurants and cafes within the palace where you can grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee. You'll also find a variety of souvenir shops selling everything from postcards to communist-era memorabilia.
Please note our entry ticket includes only the entry to the observation deck.

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
Behind the scenes, Magda and the office team were incredible—quick to respond, flexible with adjustments, and genuinely committed to making our trip special. ... [read more]
