The legacy of Communism is still alive in Krakow. During the tour you will discover worker's district of Nowa Huta. It was meant to be a model Communist city, but later came to be one of the Polish centres of revolution and resistance. You will be picked up from you hotel and embark on a journey back in time in the iconic Trabant car. You will see how the average Poles lived, worked and had fun under Communism. Also, you will hear funny stories and political anecdotes from a local guide showing you Krakow through his eyes.

Top class tour operator!

A Remarkable and Deeply Moving Journey Through Poland’s History – Expertly Guided & Organized
This was our first time in Poland, planned around the Iron Maiden concert in Warsaw, and we wanted to experience as much WWII history as possible. From start to finish, our journey with AB Poland Travel was unforgettable. Thanks to Magda and Zuzanna’s outstanding coordination, every detail—from hotel bookings to taxi transfers—and daily schedules.
Each guide brought their own expertise and passion. Jurek and Jacek took us through Lublin, Majda nek, and Sobibór, weaving personal stories and deep historical insight into an emotional, humbling day. Wojtek led us to the Wolf’s Lair and Mamerki with an academic’s precision. Paweł brought Warsaw’s history alive, from the Old Town to local hangouts, Warsaw Ghetto sites, and later guided us through Treblinka and the Białowieża forest. Even our long day to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków with Jacek was expertly managed—an intense, meaningful experience.
