About Masuria
Masuria is an area in north-eastern Poland, around a 3-hour ride from Warsaw. It attracts nature and adventure lovers with more than 2,000 lakes, dense forests, and charming towns. The abundance of lake resorts and well-developed tourist infrastructure make this region one of the main summer destinations in Poland. Our trip will focus on the region of Augustow. It is here that the famous Rospuda River flows in the Augustow Primeval Forest.
Tour plan
Day 1
Warsaw – Augustow
Arrival at Warsaw Chopin airport and transfer to the accommodation in Augustow. A welcome bonefire or barbecue in the evening.
Overnight in Augustow.
Day 2
Augustow – Sajno lake – Augustow Canal – Gabowe Grady – Augustow
Distance on bike – approx. 72 km
You will start our trip by traveling around Sajno Lake. You will ride a dike across the lake. In Białobrzegi you will stop by the Augustow Canal. Then, you will head to Gabowe Gradow, where there is a large number of Old Believers – an Orthodox movement, which did not accept the reforms of the 17th century. We will cross the bridge over the Netta River and head back to Augustow.

Day 3
Augustow – Lake Wigry – Augustow
The distance on the bike – approx. 78 km
On this day you will head north to Lake Wigry. You will delve into the Augustow Forest and then into the Wigry National Park. Before you reach Wigry you will see Lake Blizno, then the church in the village of Monkinie, which is connected with several interesting historical events. You will reach Lake Wigry and stop by the Camaldolese monastery complex. You will cycle around the lake and return to Augustow.
Overnight in Augustow.
Day 4
Rafting on the Rospuda River:
Length: 14 km
Rafting time: approx. 4 hours (11AM – 4PM)
During the rafting trip you will see:
– a beautiful section of the Rospuda river entered in Natura 2000,
– historic ruins of Pac Palace in Dowspuda,
– “Sacred Place” – a mysterious place of ancient religious worship,
– stony shallows with fast currents and fallen trees
Overnight in Augustow.
Day 5
Augustow – Augustow Forest – Augustow
The distance on the bike – approx. 69 km
There are many lakes waiting for you today. You will start with Studzieniczne Lake and locks on it. The next ones are Lake Orle, Paniewo, Krzywe, and many others. Then, you will see the church of St. Mary Magdalene from 1907. You will do loops around the Augustow Forest and return to your place of accommodation.

Day 6
Augustow – Rospuda river
The distance on the bike – approx. 58 km
In the morning you will check out. The main attraction of the day will be the Rospuda River, but you will start with the lake of the same name. The trip will continue along the river. In Dowspuda you see the ruins of Pac Palace. Biking through the Rospuda Valley, you will return to Augustow. Here, the tour will officially end and you will return to Warsaw.

A great travel agency
