Wieliczka is a small town half an hour away from Krakow, mostly known for its salt mine - one of the oldest rock salt deposits in Europe used from the 13th to the 20th century. Attracting a vast number of people every year Wieliczka is high on the list of the most visited places in Poland. However, not everyone is aware that besides the salt mine, there are also other attractions in this adorable little town. It is definitely worth visiting the Saltworks Castle, which houses the Krakow Saltworks Museum. Additionally, there is a beautiful classicist Church of St. Clement, located in the heart of the town. Thanks to the healing properties of the salt, Wieliczka attracts Cracovians with numerous spa and wellness centres.
