The Old Jewish Cemetery
The Old Jewish Cemetery dates back to the 16th century, and many distinguished Jewish representatives from the Lublin Jewish Community are buried here. It is the oldest cemetery in Poland, and the oldest tombstone is dated 1541. However, you can find many tombstones from different centuries, noticing 300 years of changes in shapes, ornamentation, and lettering. The cemetery is located on a hill and overlooks the Old Town.
