Constitution Square
The Constitution Square, named to commemorate the Consitution of May 3rd 1791, was designed entirely in socialist-realist style of the 50-ties. You can see many examples of Stalinist-era architecture, such as haut-reliefs of socialist workers visible on the buildings. The square was a part of the MDM (Marszalowska Dzielnica Mieszkaniowa) - a socialist housing development built after the war. It was intended to be the venue for May 1st (Labour Day) parades.
